Being a parent is one of the most important responsibilities you will ever have, and we believe families should have all the support, guidance and information available to enable them to be as healthy and happy as possible. Family Resource Center is here for you!
Services and programs
Infant, convertible or booster car seats for a small annual fee.
Families may check-out equipment on a short-term basis:
porta-cribs, life jackets, baby swings, bicycle helmets, high chairs, booster seats, safety gates, car seats, strollers and more. A deposit may be required.
Our certified safety seat technician will make sure your car seat is appropriate for your child, that it is installed correctly and that the child is harnessed safely. Call for your car seat installation appointment today.
Infant massage classes are a fun way to learn how to soothe your baby, relieve tummy upsets, learn to understand your baby’s non-verbal language and much, much more.
This is a great opportunity to connect with other moms and know you’re not alone in the trials and joys of parenting.
Parents learn to create a nurturing home for their families, to use positive behavior management, to communicate clearly, to manage stress and more. These classes are offered in different formats and available for parents with children of all ages.
Young teens (completed 5th grade) babysitting training program to learn how to handle crises, how to keep their charges secure, and how to nurture and guide a young child.
This parent-let group is for parents, grandparents, and
providers and children to drop in and enjoy art, fun, songs, stories and playtime. This is a special time for adults to socialize as well as the children. There’s no need to call ahead, just drop in Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00.
Parents, grandparents, providers, teachers and all adults are welcome to check out toys, books and DVDs.

confidential sharing and emotional support from an
empathetic and objective listener.
Volunteers are a large part of the Family Resource Center. Parents who have participated in activities and programs and others are encouraged to volunteer their time and expertise. Here are a few of the volunteer opportunities:
- Assist in library
- Provide child care
- Co-facilitate group activities
- Provide transportation
Donations are always welcome at the Family Resource Center. Contact us for the most recent wish list. Frequently needed items include:
- Card stock
- Poster board
- Ziploc bags
- Children's clothes and other basic care items
- Gently used toys and equipment
