Hospice Volunteer Training

Hospice volunteers must complete both the mandatory annual training and the annual hospice volunteer training.

Mandatory annual training

Mandatory annual training is required to ensure all volunteers have an understanding of universal precautions, fire safety, and patient confidentiality, as well as the rules and regulations of the volunteer program and the knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.

Annual Hospice Volunteer Training is provided quarterly and features different topics for each of the four training sessions. We hope that this will offer better opportunities for you to attend a training session that you feel would be the most beneficial to your experience as a Hospice Volunteer with us.
