Crossing Rivers Health has established a COVID-19 Hotline as a resource for those who are experiencing non-emergent Coronavirus symptoms or have questions about how best to seek care.
- Shortness of breath
The hotline is available Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., by calling 608.357.2819.
Crossing Rivers Health follows the COVID-19 criteria established by the CDC to determine who qualifies for testing.
Alternate testing site
Those who do not require emergency care, but who have been qualified through the hotline for testing, will be instructed/approved to utilize the Crossing Rivers Health alternate testing site.
Prior to testing, the patient must complete a telehealth visit with a Crossing Rivers Health Clinic provider, to complete necessary paperwork. Once the paperwork is complete, the patient will be advised where to access the alternate testing site.
A Crossing Rivers Health provider in CDC-recommended protective gear will collect the testing sample while the patient remains in their vehicle.
Following the testing, patients will be provided an after-visit summary with instructions on the next steps. Patients will be contacted via telephone by their county public health department with the results of the COVID-19 test, whether it’s positive or negative, and further instructed based upon the results.
