If you have an employee that needs to get tested for COVID-19, they must call ahead before going to any healthcare provider.

It may be in your employee's best interest to be seen by a provider for appropriate diagnosis and testing because the flu season presents many different illnesses that may be circulating.

You should encourage your employee to call their primary care provider and to always call ahead before going to any healthcare provider, whenever possible.

Q: When should someone seek emergency medical attention?

If someone is showing any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately:

  • Trouble breathing
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion
  • Inability to wake or stay awake
  • Bluish lips or face

*This list is not all possible symptoms. Please call your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning to you.
