I have been a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for over 21 years, all of them at Crossing Rivers Health. I am caring, compassionate, a great listener, comforting and I have hot hands! This is useful for myofascial therapy provided in the occupational therapy department at Crossing Rivers Health.
On a personal note, I was married in the beautiful U.S. Virgin Islands, on a beach in St. Thomas. I come from a big family - seven of us, five boys and two girls along with fifteen nieces and nephews and twelve great-nieces and nephews - and I love it! It's never boring! I am the favorite uncle, so I am told. :) I have two of the sweetest animals there could be, a six-year-old Golden Retriever named Woodson and an almost 21-year-old cat named Morgan. They are best friends.
In my personal time, I enjoy walking, biking, badminton, throwing and catching the frisbee, exercising, playing board games and Jeopardy, playing with my dog and cat, and hanging out with family and friends. We try to get as many of the family members together once or twice times a year - great times! I really enjoy helping out our community members and assisting with the Spanish speaking population.
My professional philosophy is treating the patient holistically and address all issues at hand. I strive to find ways to meet their needs and listen before answering.
My certifications include:
- Certified Lymphedema Therapist
- Certificate Bridging the Gap
- Training in Medical Interpreting
- CarFit Technician Training
