Not all women will need to be treated for uterine fibroids. Your provider will most likely perform an ultrasound to evaluate the uterus. After learning more about the size and location of the fibroid, your provider will talk with you to determine the best treatment option for you.
Some options may include birth control or hormonal options such as an IUD or surgical options such as a uterine fibroid emobilization, myoectomy, or hysterectomy.
If you are experiencing pelvic pain or have uterine fibroids, the gynecology team at Crossing Rivers Health Center for Specialty Care encourages you to make an appointment. Treatment options are available. Together, we can determine the best option for you.
