Community invited to remember loved ones lost in 2016

Hospital news | Thursday, November 17, 2016

“We invite the public to join us for a Candlelight Memorial on Tuesday, December 13, as we remember loved ones we have lost during the past year,” announces Haley Schroeder, LMSW, Hospice Bereavement Coordinator at Crossing Rivers Health, Prairie du Chien. “It is important for those who have experienced a death of a loved one to keep the memory of that person alive. Family and friends may stop in anytime between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. to participate in this meaningful, non-denominational gathering. Candles will be placed in the beautiful and peaceful Meditation Room at Crossing Rivers Health- a tranquil place to relax and reflect. There will be a prayer at 5:00 p.m. led by Crossing Rivers Health Chaplain Pat Malanaphy. If you have a loved one you wish to include in the memorial, please contact me. Families of Crossing Rivers Health Hospice patients need not contact me, as we will be reaching out to them.”

The Candlelight Memorial is hosted by members of Crossing Rivers Health’s Bereavement Team, volunteers and Hospice staff. Music, memories and a reflection video will be available throughout the afternoon and evening in the George Family Education Center. Those attending may enter the main entrance of the medical center.
