Crossing Rivers Health Announces Christopher Brophy Promoted to Chief Executive Officer

Brophy to succeed Interim CEO, Garith Steiner
The Board of Directors of Crossing Rivers Health is pleased to announce they have selected Christopher Brophy to serve as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2021.
Brophy currently serves as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer and was promoted to that role in 2019, after serving three years as the organization’s Revenue Cycle Director. After serving in the Navy, Brophy began his healthcare career at a large national healthcare system. While there, he earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of South Florida and a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
Throughout his career, Brophy has held various leadership roles in healthcare finance. He and his wife, Melissa, relocated to this area from Florida, after he accepted the Revenue Cycle Director role in 2016. In his first year in that role, Brophy was recognized as the organization’s Ambassador of Leadership for fostering an environment of teamwork and providing effective leadership and direction.
“Chris is the right person to lead Crossing Rivers Health into the future given his strong commitment to the success of our organization and a keen understanding of the healthcare industry,” shared Katie Garrity, Chair of the Crossing Rivers Health Board of Directors. “Our organization is on a positive trajectory and, under Chris’s leadership, we will continue to build momentum, strength, and a continued positive presence in the communities we serve. The board is excited to work with Chris and our entire senior leadership team to continue our collaborative and progressive journey forward.”

Brophy will transition into the CEO position following in the footsteps of Garith Steiner who has served in the position on an interim basis for the past two years.
