Crossing Rivers Health Behavioral Health Welcomes Lacie Anthony
Prairie du Chien, WI - Crossing Rivers Health Behavioral Health proudly announces the addition of Lacie Anthony, Licensed Professional Counselor and Behavioral Health Program Director.
Anthony is accepting new patients in the Center for Specialty Care, located on the second floor of the Medical Center within the North Entrance. Anthony has been practicing as a clinical therapist for the past 18 years. She uses supportive therapy to help create a safe space for patients to explore aspects of their lives that they are struggling in and then uses evidence-based treatments to develop skills that will enable them to manage these issues more effectively than they have in the past.
“I believe that people can change and recover from mental illness and addictions,” shared Anthony. “I strive to create a therapeutic relationship based on developing a mutual respect utilizing supportive listening, validation of emotions and experiences and guiding patients towards a place of change and growth with skill development based on researched treatments. Overall wellness depends on treating the whole person, physically and mentally, in order for people to meet their goals, recover and find what makes their life worth living.”
Anthony works collaboratively with other providers, community resources and patient family members to create a supportive safety net for patients as they work towards recovery and wellness.
Anthony received a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and The Collaborative Family Health Association. She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialect behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. She has a particular interest in assisting patients experiencing depression and anxiety, along with assisting patients in developing interpersonal communication skills, behavioral activation, and mindfulness skills.
“I have been told that I create a very emphatic and non-judgmental environment where people feel empowered to make significant changes in their lives,” she added. “I also help with skill development through use of practice during session and short homework assignments that give patients the ability to develop more effective ways to manage their emotions and relationships.”
Anthony joins Dr. V. Chowdry Jampala, Board-Certified Psychiatrist, and Mary Frances McClimon, Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, at Crossing Rivers Health Behavioral Health.
