Prairie du Chien, WI - Crossing Rivers Health Clinic announces the addition of Jennifer King, Board-Certified Palliative Care Family Nurse Practitioner, to the team of clinic providers. As a Palliative Care provider, Jennifer provides specialized medical care for people living with a serious or chronic illness at the clinic or in their homes.
King has over twenty years of experience in nursing while spending time in pediatrics, operating rooms, intensive care units, and emergency services. In recent years, she has furthered her practice and experience in palliative care and infectious disease.
“To have ready ears, an open heart, and serve others as I would want to be served,” King says about her philosophy in providing care, “to never be rushed or have ‘no time’ to hear individual needs or worries.”
Jennifer achieved a Master of Science degree in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) from Allen College of Nursing and Walden University. She previously received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from University of Phoenix. King also studied at Northeast Iowa Community College to become a Registered Nurse.
The Palliative Care provided by Jennifer King provides an extra layer of support to people living with chronic illness. This helps enhance care, manage symptoms, and improve quality of life for the patient. With regular visits, patients report that they are able to feel better and do the things that are important to them while living with a chronic illness.
Crossing Rivers Health Clinics provide individualized care to meet the needs of residents of the region.
