Prairie du Chien, WI - Crossing Rivers Health Clinic announces the addition of Matthew Snitker, Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, to the team of clinic providers. Matthew is now accepting patients of all ages at the Prairie du Chien clinic.

“I have been involved in the healthcare field for ten years in various settings and am passionate about providing care to rural communities,” explained Matthew. “This will allow me to build stronger and continuous relationships with patients and families.”

Matthew strives to treat all patients as individuals and takes pride in doing whatever it takes to provide quality care to all.

“I focus my work on being a good listener, looking at the whole picture, and advocating for my patients to help ensure that they are physically, mentally, and emotionally sound,” added Matthew. “I stay true to my own values by being available and committed to their care.”

Matthew received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Northeast Iowa Community College, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Viterbo University. He performed a nurse practitioner residency at Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences.

“On a personal note, I am married to my wife, Ciara, a school teacher, and we have one child, Dax. I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, and anything that involves the outdoors. As a Type 1 diabetic, I personally understand the struggles of living with a chronic disease and aim to help others manage their own health with appropriate evidence-based practices,” shared Matthew. “I look forward to this next step in my career and working together with a strong group of healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for our patients.”
