Thursday, August 20, 2020

Prairie du Chien, WI – Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien has earned the prestigious five-star designation for patient experience by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) summary star rating combines all information about the specific aspects of patient care experience measured by the HCAHPS Survey.

"At Crossing Rivers Health, our patients always come first,” said Jenny Pritchett, Chief Clinical Officer at Crossing Rivers Health. “Everything we do at Crossing Rivers Health is focused around providing our patients with the best possible care. Our goal is every patient, every time.”

The patient experience rating is made up of multiple key measures that attempt to summarize the patients’ and their families’ perspective of the care they have received. These measures include: communication with nurses and doctors, responsiveness of hospital staff, communication about medications, cleanliness and quietness of the hospital environment, discharge information and care transitions, and the patient’s willingness to recommend the hospital.

“This recognition is a direct reflection of the dedication and commitment of our entire team. We are proud to provide our patients with the highest level of compassionate care. From the very first contact a patient has with our organization, we strive to ensure that their experience is above and beyond their expectations. The staff at Crossing Rivers Health are an amazing group of people who are honored to care for the residents of our communities,” Pritchett added.
