Superheroes raise $12,000 for local health care
Crossing Rivers Health Foundation hosted 20 golf teams at the 5th Annual Golf Classic on Wednesday, September 14th at the Prairie du Chien Country Club. “Of course we enjoyed a beautiful day and there were some big wins on the golf course. But, at the end of the day, everyone can ultimately feel proud about the fact that they have made a meaningful contribution to an organization that saves and improves lives locally,” said Sasha Dull, Foundation Director.
This year’s superhero-themed event helped to raise more than $12,000 which will be used for priority equipment purchases and health and wellness programs provided by Crossing Rivers Health Medical Center.
“Once again, we’re amazed at the generous support we’ve received from the local community and beyond,” said Dull. Several local businesses contributed to the Crossing Rivers Health Foundation’s Golf Classic including Ameriprise Financial, Southwest Collision Center, Stark’s Sports Shop, Community Health Services Corporation, Peoples State Bank, WGLR 97.7, Mayo Clinic, Wolf Machine, Quality Beverage, Southwest Tech, WQPC 94.3 and MPC— just to name a few.
“It’s not only about having a fun and successful fundraising event— it’s truly about the investment these people are making in local health care and the positive impact that investment can have on the lives of our friends and neighbors. All of our donors, volunteers, providers and professional health care staff are our heroes,” said Dull.
