Crossing Rivers Health Medical Staff Awards Scholarships
“We believe in the next generation of medical professionals and are proud to make available the Crossing Rivers Health Medical Staff Scholarship as an investment in the future of healthcare,” said Dr. Carrie Kramer, Medical Chief of Staff at Crossing Rivers Health.
The Crossing Rivers Health Medical Staff Scholarship was established in 2019 and is an annual opportunity available to graduating high school seniors in the following school districts: Prairie du Chien, MFL Mar-Mac, River Ridge, Seneca, and Wauzeka-Steuben.
Qualified applicants must attend an accredited college or university with the intent to become a healthcare professional, demonstrating excellence in academic achievement, accomplishments, and community service.
This year, three recipients were chosen among 13 applicants.
$1500 – Rose Grau, MFL Mar-Mac High School, University of Iowa, Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis in stem cell research and production
$750 – Clare Teynor, Prairie du Chien High School, University of St. Thomas – Minnesota, Pre-Medicine then Medical School for Pediatrics
$750 – Macey Banasik, Prairie du Chien High School, Mount Mercy, Nursing
The Crossing Rivers Health Medical Staff is a collaborative team of healthcare professionals whom have been granted privileges to provide care to patients at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien. The Medical Staff represent a number of healthcare partners providing care to the Prairie du Chien area, including Crossing Rivers Health, Mayo Clinic Health System, and Gundersen Health System.
