Crossing Rivers Health Offering Free Health and Wellness Classes

Prairie du Chien, WI – Crossing Rivers Health is offering Ditch the Diet, a free six-week health and wellness class beginning February 20 and running six consecutive Thursday evenings from 5:15 – 6:15 pm. Participants can expect to learn about nutrition and how food can be used as medicine for your body. In addition, participants will also learn ways to cook healthy foods, how to plan and prep your meals, and how to manage cravings. There will also be information about physical activity and stress management.

Class instructors are Shelby Moose, Crossing Rivers Health Registered Dietitian, and Jessica Goltz, Health and Wellness Coach at Crossing Rivers Health. Shelby’s expertise includes diabetes, education, and weight management. She provides nutrition education to hospital inpatients, as well as outpatients with a referral by their primary care provider. Jessica is a Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She also holds numerous additional health and wellness certifications. Her expertise includes weight management, stress management, meditation, and yoga.

“With over 80 different fad diets on the market, it is hard to determine which is right for you. This class is not just another fad diet, this is a lifestyle change that will give you the tools to fuel your body with the right foods to prevent chronic disease and promote a healthy weight,” shared Shelby Moose, Crossing Rivers Health Registered Dietitian, and class instructor.
