Crossing Rivers Health Offers Basic and Advanced Life Support Classes
Prairie du Chien, WI – Crossing Rivers Health has a variety of the American Heart Association’s basic and advanced life support classes available throughout the year to the general public and healthcare professionals.
Family & Friends Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a CPR course for people who want to learn CPR, but do not need a course completion card to meet a job requirement. It is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others interested in learning how to save a life. The next Family & Friends CPR class takes place on April 10 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Heartsaver Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for a job, regulatory (i.e. OSHA), or other requirements. The next Heartsaver CPR class is March 10 from 5:45 – 8:45 pm.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) classes take place each month for healthcare providers who work in a hospital, clinic, or other healthcare facility including a dentist office, skilled nursing, or assisted living facility. Upcoming dates include February 5 from either 7:30 – 11:00 am or 12:30 – 4:00 pm, March 4 from either 7:30 – 11:00 am or 12:30 – 4:00 pm, and April 1 from 7:30 – 11:00 am.
Crossing Rivers Health also offers the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Certification course, as well as the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Recertification course. The Provider Certification is a two-day course for individuals who are in need of initial certification. The course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). The next dates for the Provider Certification course are April 29 and 30 from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm. The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Recertification is an advanced course for individuals who have previously been certified in ACLS and are in need of recertification. Upcoming dates include February 12 and March 5.
