Volunteer at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin

Shawna Atterbury, Volunteer Services Coordinator at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, encourages area residents to consider becoming a volunteer at Crossing Rivers Health.

She explains, “Our volunteers are exceptional! They are a member of our team in every sense- they assist with projects and help departments in a variety of ways. Each volunteer offers a skill and talent that is valuable to the mission of Crossing Rivers Health to deliver high-quality personalized health care and education to people in every stage of life.”

She adds, “There are many ways to volunteer at Crossing Rivers Health- from short-term to ongoing placement. We try to find the right fit for each volunteer, from helping with fundraising and educational events, assisting in the gift shop, or assisting a department with a project. Volunteers also have a high profile position every weekday morning as they provide a welcoming environment for patients and visitors that enter the north entrance at the medical center.”

Volunteer training is scheduled at Crossing Rivers Health on Thursday, September 8, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The training will include introductions, mandatory instruction to ensure volunteers are compliant with standards of health, safety, infection control and patient privacy; and given a tour of the facility.
