Crossing Rivers Health Supports the Mission of the Learning Center
Fennimore, WI – Crossing Rivers Health Family Resource Center recently donated a variety of toys, puzzles, and games to the Learning Center located in Fennimore, Wisconsin.
The mission of the Learning Center is to bring quality of life services, therapies, and informational resources to the special needs communities of southwest Wisconsin. The Learning Center is a project created by Aiming for Acceptance, a non-profit organization started by a group of rural community members wanting to help establish therapies, services, and support to those living with or serving those either on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) or with Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD).The Learning Center provides a comfortable and safe environment for those with autism and sensory processing disorders to receive therapy based on their needs, family input and industry proven results. The Learning Center provides therapy and quality of life services in a place of low stress, important for both caretakers and those individuals with special needs.
“We learned about the great work taking place at the Learning Center from an individual whose family member is on the autism spectrum and receives therapy services through the Learning Center,” stated Rick Peterson, Community Resource Director at Crossing Rivers Health. “One of the services provided by Crossing Rivers Health Family Resource Center is the ability for community members to rent items from our Toy and Resource Lending Library. We determined we had a number of items in the library we felt may be useful and are happy to provide resources that support the mission of Aiming for Acceptance.”
