Crossing Rivers Health to host Legacy 5K Run/Walk June 25th

In celebration of Crossing Rivers Health Medical Center’s 1st Anniversary, a family friendly run/walk event will be held on Saturday, June 25. “We will start the day with the Legacy 5K Run/Walk, starting at 8 a.m.,” announces Lynn Groom, RN, Education Coordinator at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien. “Participants will start at the former hospital site, 705 East Taylor Street, and cross the finish line 3.2 miles at the new Crossing Rivers Health Medical Center, 37868 US Hwy 18. Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers for each male/female in adult and youth categories.”
Advanced registration for the event is requested and can be completed online at crossingrivers.org or at the concierge desk, inside the main entrance of the medical center. A commemorative t-shirt is available with paid advanced registration fee of $10. Deadline to ensure a t-shirt is Friday, June 10th. Children ages 5 and under will receive a free t-shirt with paid adult registration.
Check-in and same day registration begins at 7:00 a.m. at Crossing Rivers Health Family Resource Center, just across the street from the start line. The run/walk will begin with a shot gun start at 8:00 a.m. Participants are welcome to bring well behaved, leashed dogs to run or walk as well. Parking is available in the Prairie du Chien High School North Parking Lot. A free return shuttle is available after the event, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Crossing Rivers Health’s 1st Anniversary Celebration also includes Mighty Machines Heroes of Healthcare, Teddy Bear Clinic, free chair massages and blood pressure checks, health fair, a birthday party for all babies born at the medical center within the past year, gift shoppe and Home Medical Equipment Retail Store Open Houses and a picnic lunch at a minimal charge.
