Dr. Kristina Thompson, Podiatrist, Earns Certified Wound Specialist Certification

Prairie du Chien, WI – In addition to recently becoming board-certified, Crossing Rivers Health is proud to announce that Dr. Kristina Thompson, Podiatrist at Crossing Rivers Health Center for Specialty Care, has completed training to become a Certified Wound Specialist Physician with the American Board of Wound Management, a formal recognition of a master level knowledge and specialty practice in wound management.
“The certification in wound care is an elite certification that ensures that the provider is not only competent in evidence-based wound care, but an expert,” explained Karen Mathis, Crossing Rivers Health Center for Specialty Care Manager. “With this certification, Dr. Thompson will play an integral role in expanding the wound care services provided at Crossing Rivers Health Center for Specialty Care.”
Crossing Rivers Health Center for Specialty Care provides the highest level of medical care for problematic, hard-to-heal wounds as well as ostomy care, including colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy and leaking tube/drain sites.
