Enjoy peace of mind with an at-home emergency system
Prairie du Chien, WI – Every 20 minutes, an older adult dies from a fall in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Crossing Rivers Health Home Medical Equipment Retail Store can help mature adults and their families feel at ease, while remaining independent with the Life Assist USA in home land line and cellular Personal Emergency Reporting System (PERS). Crossing Rivers Health offers these systems to residents in Crawford and Grant Counties in Southwest Wisconsin and Allamakee and Clayton Counties in Northeast Iowa.
“A personal emergency response system offers help at the touch of a button 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Don’t go another day without the safety and security of a medical alert system,” encouraged Mara Dickens, Crossing Rivers Health Home Medical Equipment Administrative Assistant.
The Life Assist USA system has been designed to detect a fall as soon as it happens. If a fall is detected, the system will immediately notify Life Assist USA and a two-way voice communication is established. The Fall Detection System also has an emergency help button that can be pushed at any time to signal that immediate medical assistance is needed such as in the case of a fall that does not result in unconsciousness.
In addition to the Life Assist USA system, the Crossing Rivers Health Home Medical Equipment Retail Store offers an extensive array of home medical equipment and supplies to assist patients and caregivers with treatments and care, as well as increased mobility, safety, independence, and comfort. View a list of in-stock products at crossingrivers.org/hme or visit the store located within the North entrance of the Medical Center on the second floor between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
