Prairie du Chien, WI, July 14, 2016- Crossing Rivers Health Child Care in Prairie du Chien is accepting enrollment for children ages three through five in their Montessori classes that begins after Labor Day. Mari Beth Valley, Child Care Director, asks, “I encourage families to learn the difference between Montessori and traditional education to help their children reach their fullest potential at their own unique pace. The guiding principles of Montessori education are grounded in over 100 years of work with children around the world.”
Kristi Shaffer is the Montessori instructor at Crossing Rivers Health Child Care. She said, “Play is a child’s work in the Montessori classroom. The focus on letting children learn at their own pace affects how classrooms are arranged, with children ages three, four and five all being in the same room. The mixed-age aspect encourages older children to help the younger children, which helps build their self-esteem. Learning is an exciting process of discovery, leading to concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning.”
The school year for the Montessori Program at Crossing Rivers Health Child Care begins on Wednesday, September 7th, and ends before Memorial Day 2017. Classes will be held Monday through Friday, 8:15 to 11:15 a.m.
