Area residents are invited to attend the Grand Opening of the new Crossing Rivers Health Medical Center on Saturday, June 6. A Ribbon Cutting is scheduled at 8:45 a.m. and Open House from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The new two-story, 137,000-square-foot Medical Center is located on 37868 US Hwy 18 in Prairie du Chien, across from the Prairie du Chien Airport.

Tours will give people the opportunity to see the significant enhancements over the current hospital facility at key locations: private inpatient rooms each with a bathroom and shower, emergency department with ambulance garage and dedicated helipad, surgery, obstetrics, medical imaging with new in-house MRI and CT scanner, rehabilitation, homecare and HME Retail Store. Partners of Crossing Rivers Health will have Jerry’s Gift Shoppe open, and they will host a book signing by Prairie du Chien native and author, Anne Jenks. Proceeds through the gift shop are given back to the community through Partners, a volunteer organization.

Bill Sexton, Chief Executive Officer, stated, “The excitement and momentum have been building up to the moment we have been all waiting for- the opening of this spectacular new Medical Center. This is an opportunity for area residents and families to see patient care areas before they become a sterile and secure environment.”

A reminder to area residents that all Crossing Rivers Health services continue to operate at 705 East Taylor Street until the new Medical Center is open. All services at that site will move to the new 105 acre campus after the Grand Opening event is complete.

Bill Sexton added, ““This new Medical Center represents the commitment Crossing Rivers Health has in providing the region with the best, most advanced healthcare and technology for generations to come. The Grand Opening will be a proud day as we celebrate this tremendous achievement."
