Hospital news | Monday, November 16, 2020

Prairie du Chien, WI – Crossing Rivers Health Hospice invites those who have lost a loved one this year to honor that individual during a Virtual Candlelight Memorial Ceremony. The ceremony will be on December 16 at crossingrivers.org/memorial and will include words of comfort during this holiday season, individual recognition, and a prayer.

“It is important for those who have experienced a death of a loved one to keep the memory of that person alive,” shared Haley Kregel, LMSW, Hospice Social Worker at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien. “Anyone who has lost a loved one in 2020 is welcome to participate in our annual Candlelight Memorial Ceremony. Due to COVID-19 precautions, we will be hosting the ceremony virtually this year. This format may be different, however, it will be a beautiful and meaningful way to honor your loved one lost. Family and friends can view the ceremony safely from wherever they are.”

The Virtual Candlelight Memorial Ceremony is open to anyone lost in 2020 and is not just limited to patients of Crossing Rivers Health Hospice. The deadline to submit a name and photo is November 24. Patients of Crossing Rivers Health Hospice will automatically be included. To honor an individual in Crossing Rivers Health’s Virtual Candlelight Memorial Ceremony, contact Tara Nalepinski, Crossing Rivers Health Social Worker, at 608.357.2044 or tara.nalepinski@crossingrivers.org.
