Prairie du Chien Hospice and the Rotary Club of Prairie du Chien are partnering to host a barbeque chicken meal on Thursday, August 23, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The fundraiser will be held in Rickleff Plumbing’s parking lot, on the corner of Blackhawk Avenue and South Marquette Road in Prairie du Chien. Pick up a delicious barbeque chicken lunch or dinner, which includes ½ a chicken, potato salad, beans and a roll for only $8!

Purchase an advanced ticket to be guaranteed to get a meal! Tickets are available at Peoples State Bank, downtown Prairie du Chien, or at the front desk at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. Proceeds from the chicken-que will be split equally between the two organizations. All meals are “to go” and your purchase will help to support two very worthy organizations.

Prairie du Chien Hospice fulfills patient needs at no cost to them, or without full reimbursement from Medicare, HMOs and insurances. Your support helps to offset those costs, and allow Hospice to continue to provide for the physical, medical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of patients within a 30 mile radius of this area.

The local Rotary Club holds several fundraisers throughout the year, and uses the proceeds to support projects on a local and international level. The Rotary Club of Prairie du Chien will raise and donate more than $5,000 this year to benefit local communities. Projects supported by the club include the recent Mississippi River Adventure Day for kids, the Marquette Road beautification and flower project, scholarships to area high school seniors, Jaycees Operation Santa, Prairie du Chien Area Special Olympics, Blackhawk Challenge Triathlon, Reality Check, St. Peter’s Come to Supper and more.
