Prairie du Chien, WI- June 6, 2014- Proceeds from LaSoirée, Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital Foundation’s fundraising gala, will go to support Cardiac Rehabilitation and Healthy Hearts Programs at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital.

The $35,000 will be used to replace three pieces of worn and outdated exercise equipment, as well as assist with the purchase of new strength training equipment, expanding the current program offerings in the new medical center. “The Cardiac Rehab program staff and participants are grateful for the support of the Hospital Foundation and the many generous members of our community who attended and/or supported this year’s LaSoiree,” said Tammy Thompson, Cardiac Rehabilitation Director. “Through the efforts of the hospital foundation we are able to continue meeting the patient needs and demands of our rapidly growing Cardiac Rehab and Healthy Hearts program.”

The hospital foundation was formed in 2010 to facilitate philanthropic gifts and coordinate fundraising efforts to sustain and strengthen healthcare in this region. Foundation President, James Smith said, “We are proud to support these two very important and impactful programs, which serve so many people who are working to get back to health. The Foundation looks forward to helping to fulfill other healthcare needs in the future.”

Nearly 200 generous people attended the masquerade themed event on April 26 at the historic Dousman House, on the riverfront in Prairie du Chien. The success of this event is made possible by numerous area businesses and individuals through their contributions. “We are honored to have the support of all of our event sponsors and, once again, to have the support from our Diamond Level sponsor, Peoples State Bank and Quarles & Brady, LLC,” said Sasha Dull, Foundation Director.

In anticipation of the excitement and activities around the opening of the new medical center this coming spring, the Foundation will not host their fundraising gala in 2015. The Foundation will, however, announce a new fundraiser to support the Hospice program being planned for the fall of 2015. Watch for a date to be announced soon for LaSoirée 2016!
