Crossing Rivers Health Celebrates Integrative Health Month, Prepares for Opening of Expanded, Integrated Clinic
Contact: Faith Northland
January brings an opportunity to recognize the importance of integrated behavioral and primary healthcare and the growing importance of transforming the disease care model into a holistic model- mind, body, spirit, community, and planet. Throughout the month, organizations around the globe will shine a light on the contributions of integrative health and medical practitioners.
The opening of the new Crossing Rivers Health Clinic in Prairie du Chien will begin a new chapter in the organization’s healthcare history. The expansion will not only increase patient access but also allow for the integration of behavioral health in the primary care setting. The goal is to, bridge the gap between physical and mental health.
Lacie Anthony, Licensed Professional Counselor at Crossing Rivers Health Behavioral Health shared, “Patients will no longer need to go to one place to get their physical health needs met and another for their mental health needs – instead, we will be treating the whole patient right within the new Crossing Rivers Health Prairie du Chien Clinic.” The new clinic, anticipated to open in the spring of 2023, will be 12,000 square feet larger than the current space and connected directly to the north end of the Crossing Rivers Health Medical Center.
Behavioral health and primary care providers will be working side-by-side in the new clinic, to provide the knowledge and resources to help patients in the moment. Anthony added, “Crossing Rivers Health is breaking down barriers to patient care and paving the way for a more complete and collaborative way of helping patients live their best lives, throughout their life span.”
