“Qualified veterans enrolled in VA health care can now receive care right here at Crossing Rivers Health,” announces Bill Sexton, Chief Executive Officer at Crossing Rivers Health, Prairie du Chien. “Our veterans deserve easy access to high-quality health care and, now that Crossing Rivers Health has been accepted in to the Veterans Choice Program, we are pleased and honored to serve those who have given time and more in service to our country.”
As an official Veterans Choice Program provider, Crossing Rivers Health is authorized to provide primary care, inpatient and outpatient specialty care and mental health care to veterans that face an unusual or excessive burden traveling to a VA medical facility. Eligibility will be determined by the veteran’s local VA medical facility and may be based upon geographic challenges, environmental factors or a medical condition. Once eligibility is determined, Crossing Rivers Health will help the veterans through the process of obtaining an appointment for care.
Veterans enrolled in the VA health care system were mailed Veterans Choice Cards in the initial rollout of the program. Newly eligible combat veterans will receive a card when they enroll in the VA health care systems.
