“Every day millions of Americans give freely of their time and talents to ease the lives of others, aid those stricken with illness or tragedy, and serve the needs of others in countless ways. Through their efforts, volunteers build better communities and a stronger nation,” said Shawna Atterbury, Volunteer Services Coordinator at Crossing Rivers Health. “The week of April 10-16 is National Volunteer Week; an excellent opportunity to salute the 198 volunteers that touch our lives with every role they serve in our organization. Our team includes our Hospital Board of Directors, Foundation Board of Directors, Partners, Hospice volunteers, and those that serve others in any way. From delivering flowers to running errands for a Hospice patient, to making toys for young patients, to manning a volunteer desk, to assisting with fund-raisers–our volunteers make a big difference each and every day at Crossing Rivers Health. Last year our volunteer team donated 3,932 hours- an amazing and generous contribution to our organization and to the communities we serve.”

Individuals interested in joining the healthcare team at Crossing Rivers Health as a volunteer are encouraged to contact Shawna Atterbury, Volunteer Services Coordinator, at 608.357.2621 to discover the numerous opportunities available.
