Biography
I have worked as a Registered Nurse with experience in neurology, critical care, as well as behavioral services. I believe taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health. I think people need information to make choices about their mental health care. Knowledge is power and I believe in arming patients with the information they need to make health care choices is the best way to serve our patients. I enjoy being a trusted health care partner and am happy to discuss options, risks, and benefits of treatment modalities, therapies, behavioral interventions, as well as medications. My patients value that I am a good listener, and I think that I am a good teacher, as well. I want people to know that there are treatment options that work and can improve the quality of your life.
On a personal note, my husband, Mike, and I have 4 boys and live on a small acreage. Two of our children are grown and one is a member of the National Guard stationed in Qatar. I enjoy kayaking, walking, fishing, biking, swimming, and anything that I can do to enjoy the warm weather. I enjoy any time I can spend with my boys. I like watching them compete in sports like football and wrestling. I have several nieces that I love to watch play softball. I love getting together with my extended family as well.
