Inpatient specialists are committed to providing each patient with the highest level of quality care. They are physicians specifically trained in caring for patients while they are in the hospital.
Inpatient specialists work closely with a patient's primary care physician from admission to discharge. They perform examinations, make diagnoses, order tests and treatments, prescribe medications, develop after care plans and oversee the patient's general hospital care.
Rest and sleep are very important for healing, therefore, we observe quiet time each day from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Families of pediatric and hospice patients are encouraged to stay with them throughout their stay.
