Respiratory therapy
The Respiratory Therapy Department uses state-of-the-art equipment to treat and manage acute and chronic breathing disorders. Diagnostic tests and therapeutic treatments are conducted by registered and certified respiratory therapists under the direction of physicians. Respiratory therapists are specialists in cardiopulmonary treatment.
Inpatient services
Respiratory therapists (RTs) are advanced clinicians in airway management establishing and maintaining the airway during management of trauma and intensive care by managing BIPAPs and ventilators in the emergency department and intensive care unit.
RTs are available in obstetrics for all c-sections, high-risk deliveries and postoperative care. RTs deliver high-quality care to patients on the medical floor via the route of aerosol and MDI therapy, oxygen management, and breathing exercises to strengthen pulmonary function.
