Crossing Rivers Health Foundation Healthcare Professional Adversity Scholarship, Sponsored by Kevin Klean, DO, FAAOS
About Dr. Kevin Klean:
Dr. Klean is currently the orthopedic surgeon at Crossing Rivers Health. During his early high school years, his father, unfortunately, suffered a major, debilitating stroke. This was a very difficult experience for him and his family. He had to take on significantly more responsibility at home while working through his own hardships. Despite this, he was determined to excel at school and pursue a career in medicine. He had to pay his own way through college, medical school, and beyond. Having worked through this experience himself, he is hoping to help a deserving student through a similar situation.
On behalf of Dr. Kevin Klean, the Crossing Rivers Health Foundation facilitates this scholarship, which provides opportunity to individuals who, despite adversity, are dedicated to pursuing a career in a healthcare field. Whether that adversity involves family circumstances, financial, or a number of other challenges, we are proud to make this investment in the future of healthcare.
One $1,000 scholarship may be awarded annually to a graduating high school senior from any one of the following school districts: Prairie du Chien, MFL Mar-Mac, River Ridge, Seneca, Wauzeka-Steuben, & North Crawford.
