Hello, my name is Trystan Nesvold, and I am a student at Viterbo University, majoring in Psychology. My goal is to become a Child Life Specialist. Having experienced a hospital stay firsthand, the child life specialist truly helped make my stay more enjoyable and relaxed. They helped answer questions, offered to go to my scans to keep me company and brought me different activities to keep my mind busy. The impact they had helped me choose my future path. One day I hope to be able to help others and maybe I'll inspire someone to choose the same path and become a Child Life Specialist as well. I encourage others to look into becoming a Child Life Specialist as you could really make an impact on a child and help brighten their day.

Receiving the Social Work and Behavioral Health Professional Scholarship has been a blessing, as it helped ease some of the cost that comes with attending college. My advice for the senior class would be; apply for any and all scholarships, even the small ones. Every cent helps and being able to continue your education is important.

Thank you so much Crossing Rivers Health Foundation for this scholarship opportunity.
