The outpatient services available at Crossing Rivers Health include a variety of procedures and treatments, including blood transfusions, IV therapy infusions, chemotherapy, wound care, phlebotomy, placement of PICC or midline, injections, port maintenance, and laboratory draws. These services meet a variety of medical needs, ensuring that patients can receive specialized care without the need for extensive travel.
In partnership with Gundersen Health System, Crossing Rivers Health also provides services for patients. This collaborative initiative aims to enhance accessibility to chemotherapy and post-chemo care, ensuring follow-ups for individuals several months to years past their initial chemotherapy treatments.
Megan Coffield, Outpatient Services Manager, explained, “With a physician's order, we offer outpatient chemotherapy to patients in our community. We also offer support like port flushes, PICC line dressing changes and flushes, additional IV fluids, and general support for side effects from the chemotherapy.” Coffield added, “Offering these services here saves a drive when patients are not feeling the greatest.”
